Hers: Sick Day

Christmas #2 was supposed to happen today with the Richmons, but instead Flannery had a sick day. Here she is with a temp of 104.2. Nevertheless, she had a great day watching her Elmo movie while holding her Elmo book or her Elmo doll. Throw in a beverage and some fishes and she was one happy patient.

Our Christmas morning started at 1am when Flannery awoke with a fever. The remainder of the night she slept in my arms in bed with us for the first time in her life. No lie. THE FIRST TIME. Although my arms were sore in the morning and I was hot all night long, it was pretty sweet.

When morning came, we tried to make the most of it. She was a pro at opening presents, although she was a little scared of the large, wrapped toy kitchen! We had to help with that one.

After a long nap and a good dose of Tylenol, we headed over to my parents for more presents.

Even with the set backs of the sickness, we feel overwhelmed by all of the blessings in our life. It was a merry Christmas indeed.
